Huge Giveaway & Handmade Holiday Gift Guide
If you’re an etsy lover and fan of handmade, it’s worth your while to check out The 2011 Holiday Gift Guide and Giveaway going on now through Dec.7th over at A Little Etsy Love.
This holiday season, consider buying handmade:
- It’s better for the environment: many artists use recycled, upcycled, or eco-friendly materials in their work.
- It’s more unique: Since you’re buying from an artist, your gift will not only be one of a kind, but many artists personalize their products or take custom orders just to your specifications.
- It’s great for our economy: The money goes directly in the hands of an artisan rather than a box store. You can even search for local artists to reduce your carbon footprint!
Some of the items in the giveaway:

2 Tea Towels, Coffee Lovers Print

…and so much more!

I just discovered this amazing Portland-based Art Deco/Art Nouveau & Bohemian-inspired shop, Eden. It’s full of all the things and styles I love. So I just had to re-blog this giveaway from Honey Kennedy. Check it out for a giveaway of a $75 gift certificate to spend on anything you’d like; but hurry, the contest ends Tuesday, November 15th!
My favorites:
Jan Michaels – Empress earrings -
1930s Balinese Crown (Isn’t it amazing!?)-

Porcelain Pretties
I have long been a fan of porcelain jewelry (I’ve featured Renegade Craft Fair artist Sofia Masri on this blog before, and I own one of her pieces). For some reason, I had porcelain jewelry on the brain today and found some beautiful pieces on etsy. Here are some of my fave finds:

Lazy Sunday Mornings
I love lazy Sunday mornings when I can put on some good music (this week it was older Alexi Murdoch) and have a couple of cups of coffee and create! Here’s a sneak peak of the newest designs that will be hitting etsy over the next week. I have been playing around with our new HDSLR camera we got for video, practicing with photos… I may need a macro lens soon!
